After spending most of my twenties wandering, exploring, experiencing and discovering life from the cockpit of an old Volkswagen bus, around the time I turned thirty, I moved to Chicago “for a couple of years.” That was eleven years ago. Facing forty, I decided that it was time to go home and, in summer of 2006, I moved back to the city of my birth–Chattanooga, Tennessee. These pages contain excerpts from my journals since that relocation. For more information about me, please visit www.jimpfitzer.com. While you are here, enjoy my musings! All the best, Jim

What a great joy it was to meet you aboard the River Gorge tour this past weekend .
To see,for the first time, the most excellent beauty of my adopted hometown and area (from the bottom up) far exceeded my expectations.
What a treat!
And you are indeed a True Tennessee Treasure!
